- Manage common diagnoses and types of patients, including observation, medical, telemetry, post-operative, and ambulatory cases.
- Titrate drips according to facility med-tele administration policy, excluding titratable drips.- RNs are required to read telemetry strips.
- Work under the guidance of a 24 / 7 house supervisor and resource RN.- Collaborate with Nurse Aides with a ratio of 8 : 1.
- Be flexible to float to other med-surg areas, Observation, and ED Holds as needed.- Participate in a 2-day orientation with an additional day for specific training.
- Work every other weekend and be available for 1 winter and 1 summer holiday.- Dress code allows any scrub color.- Charting is conducted using the EPIC system.
- No requirement for on-call or standby duties.
