Morning Breakfast Attendant

Are you a food service professional with a strong desire to provide excellent customer service to guests? You might be just what we're looking for in our next Breakfast Attendant.

Our busy hotel is looking for a detail-oriented person to set up and take down our breakfast buffet, ensuring that fruits, bread, cereals, and bakery items are always available.

You'll also need to walk throughout the dining area refilling coffee and beverages and cleaning up used plates and utensils.

Our ideal applicant has experience in the food service industry, enjoys connecting with people, and is definitely a morning person.

This shift starts as early as 5 am on weekdays, and 6 am on weekends. Apply today if you are eager to provide our guests with a memorable dining experience!

Responsibilities :

• Assist guests with any questions or concerns that they may have in a prompt and friendly manner
• Provide attentive service to guests in the dining area by taking orders, and serving food and drinks
• Maintain the breakfast area by cleaning tables, chairs, and buffet counter, and empty trash as needed
• Wipe down service lines, beverage dispensers, and other equipment according to health and safety regulations
• Clear tables during breakfast using proper methods for removing dishes, glassware, and silverware in a timely manner
• Set up the breakfast buffet table and ensure fresh items are stocked and available throughout service
• Fully understands and complies with all food safety requirements
• Sets up breakfast area before guests begin to arrive; displays the food and beverages in an organized and attractive manner according to brand standards / requirements
• Efficiently replenishes buffet with food, beverages, and / or supplies as needed
• Maintains cleanliness of the buffet area throughout the morning by reorganizing and tidying the food area as necessary
• Properly dispose of used plates, utensils, napkins, and / or cups as necessary
• May be responsible for keeping inventory stocked by ordering additional food and / or supplies as needed
• Respond quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner; follow up to ensure guest satisfaction
• Maintains regular attendance, is consistently on time, and observes prescribed work, breaks, and meal periods in compliance with standards
• Maintains high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include compliance with the dress code
• Performs any other duties as requested by the supervisor

Qualifications :

• Proven customer service experience with a strong guest-focused mentality
• We prefer some experience working in the food service industry
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with guests and coworkers
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent certification (GED)
• Displays impeccable time management and organizational skills
