We are currently looking for experienced Construction Superintendents : Seeking experienced Superintendents to join the H&W team who share the same vision, values, and goals.
H&W Superintendents maintain and grow successful relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, vendors, and internal staff.
H&W Superintendents are responsible for the successful execution and timely completion of all construction project phases from dirt work to the punch list and all activities in between including, but not limited to, scheduling, conducting subcontractor and owner / architect meetings, enforcing all corporate safety rules and regulations, driving the quality control program and inspecting work in progress to ensure quality workmanship and conformity to contract documents and plan specifications.
As a superintendent with Hill & Wilkinson you will be responsible for holding yourself to our company values and ensuring our client’s needs are met with integrity and trust along the way.
Responsibilities
- Review Civil, Architectural, Structural & MEP plans and specifications
- Day to day management of all on-site staff and subcontractors
- Reviews plans and specifications with project team for constructability issues and documents with design team.
- Tracks cost changes and prepares presentation for monthly profit meeting and can accurately defend profit and job cost projections
- Creates complete baseline project schedule independently of or jointly with the project manager.
- Can analyze schedule updates, identifying areas of actual and potential variance and implement action plan
- Can conduct Owner / Architect / Contractor coordination meetings, including creating agenda, without supervision
- Manage the subcontract process effectively
- Understand the subcontract documents; create pre-award / contract documents
- Reviews and analyzes cost projections and makes suggestions for corrections to distribution curve.
- Promotes synergy between Design Team, HWGC Project team, and Owner and facilitates, to the extent possible, amicable dispute resolution
- Monitor project deliverables
- Update relevant stakeholders or team members on the project progress
Qualifications
- 5+ years building projects valued at $15 million +
- Strong business acumen in project planning and management
- Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
- Local subcontractor relationships in the commercial sector
