Job Title : Litigation Legal Assistant

Work Environment : 2 days remote per month
Degree Required : HIGHLY PREFERRED
Parking : Paid for by firm
Candidates must have litigation experience
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Provide secretarial and administrative support to attorneys.
- Prepare and edit legal documents and correspondence, saving to the document management system; proofread to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Proofreading and cite checking briefs.
- Filings in state and federal courts.
- Maintain document management databases.
- Prepare conflict of interest checks and open new client files.
- Prepare engagement letters and conflict waivers.
- Coordinate with Audit Committee to prepare audit responses for clients.
- Process expense reports / reimbursement requests.
- Assist assigned attorneys with CLE compliance and business development activities.
- Review, organize, and process client billing in a timely manner.
- Research and respond to requests for information from attorneys and clients.
- Enter attorney time; review and revise timesheets accurately.
- Manage and monitor calendaring of deadlines and key dates.
- Calendaring and interaction with clients and other contacts regarding meetings and scheduling.
- Coordinate business travel arrangements.
- Develop and organize electronic and physical files; maintain systems to promote organization and efficiency.
- Docketing case deadlines.
Job Requirements :
- 3+ years of experience as a legal assistant in a law firm is required.
- Prior litigation experience is required; the ideal candidate will have experience in federal court litigation.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
