Keller Schroeder is seeking a dynamic Senior Information Security Consultant to join our growing Information Security team.

This presents an excellent opportunity for individuals with a proven track record in security and / or consulting to contribute their expertise to our team.

This position will play a pivotal role in fortifying our clients’ organizations by providing advanced monitoring and response to security events, strategic advice on risk management controls, and leadership in project work related to the implementation and maintenance of advanced security tools and processes to ensure a resilient security posture.

Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and analyze network traffic to identify and respond to potential security threats and incidents.
  • Conduct in-depth assessments to identify weaknesses in systems, networks, and applications, developing and executing comprehensive remediation strategies.
  • Deploy and manage security solutions on various endpoints (e.g., computers, servers, mobile devices) to safeguard against malware and unauthorized access.
  • Evaluate and analyze emerging cybersecurity threats, providing recommendations for strategic measures to manage and mitigate potential risks.
  • Serve as a leader in incident response for potential cyber incidents, demonstrating advanced leadership skills in crisis situations.
  • Implement and maintain endpoint protection, network security, and other security products to enhance overall organizational security.
  • Act as incident responder for potential cyber incidents.
  • Lead pre-sales consultations with clients to assess cybersecurity requirements, formulate secure design recommendations, contribute to quote development, and deliver recommendations to clients.
  • Establish trust and cultivate relationships with individuals at all levels within the client’s organization.

Requirements :

  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Information Security / Cyber Security, or related degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrate 7+ years of experience with any of the following : Network security products (NGFW, IPS / IDS, etc.); Endpoint protection / endpoint detection and response products (anti-virus, EPP, EDR, etc.
  • Email security; Cloud infrastructure and security (Microsoft Azure); Identity and access management (IAM) and multi-factor authentication (MFA);
  • Vulnerability and patch management; End-user security awareness; Security information and event management (SIEM); Security Program Development, including Incident Response, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery, among other policies, plans, and standards;

Linux; Scripting (Python, PowerShell, bash).

  • Demonstrate a deep expertise in cybersecurity, with a track record of contributing to businesses' defense against complex cyber threats.
  • Exhibit a proactive and leadership-oriented work ethic, taking initiative and providing guidance to team members.
  • Display strong teamwork skills by fostering effective communication and cooperation in a collaborative environment within and amongst various teams throughout the organization.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • On-site work may be required in Southwestern Indiana, Southern Illinois, Western Kentucky, and Middle Tennessee regions.

Candidates must reside within commuting distance of Evansville, IN or Nashville, TN or be willing to relocate.

Preferred :

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Security / Cyber Security, or related degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Hold advanced certifications including, but not limited to : Networking (PCNSE, CCNP, NSE7, etc.); Governance (CISSP, CISA, CISM, GSEC, etc.

and / or Microsoft (Azure Security Engineer, etc.)
