Job Title : Custodial Supervisor
Reports to : Director of Facilities
Employment Status : Full-time; 12 month
FLSA Status : Hourly

Essential Functions
The Custodial Supervisor is responsible for the operational management of the school’s custodial services. The Custodial Supervisor plans and manages the human, supply and technical resources to ensure the school facility is cleaned in accordance with appropriate health and safety standards for educational facilities.
The supervisor develops and monitors custodial workers.
Responsibilities
- Manage custodial activities including training, procurement and personnel management.
- Provide expertise in custodial areas specific to the school.
- Manage inventory activities for custodial equipment, supplies and materials.
- Orientate and train staff.
- Manage staff performance through performance appraisals, staff recognition, attendance management, current position descriptions, and appropriate corrective discipline.
- Ensure staff have a clear understanding of their work responsibilities and expectations.
- Represent the interest of the school in managing the labour relations function for the custodial staff.
- Maintain current knowledge and ensures regulatory practices are complied with and mandated in cleaning of all facilities.
- Provide reports as requested, and prepares quarterly summary of accomplishments and effectiveness of the custodial department
- Perform other assignments as requested.
Requirement / Skill Level
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in an education institute
- Effective communication and problem solving skills
- Reliable and able to work some weekends
- Ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds
