Channel Sales Consultant - Schlage Lock

The Channel Sales Consultant Schlage Lock will be responsible for driving demand creation activities with locksmiths and other channel partners while also managing the field execution of the Wholesale Strategy at the branch level.

This will include sales of mechanical, electronic and residential products in the defined geographic market. This role will execute all aspects of the sales process to maximize revenue through business and account planning, channel promotion development and support.

The Sales Consultant will be a key member of the RSO (Regional Sales Office) and be expected to collaborate with the various Allegion field sales, marketing and product teams to leverage our expansive capabilities across all businesses.

What You Will Do :

  • Partner with the Wholesale Strategic Account Executives to create, implement and execute business plan.
  • Increase market penetration of Allegion products and determine partnering call patterns with key wholesale accounts and conduct joint sales calls in appropriate markets.
  • Work in conjunction with local sales leadership team to execute market specific share gain opportunities including local stocking opportunities.
  • Execute inventory management process with branch customers.
  • Execute training on new product, inventory management, and initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with key customers both internally and externally.
  • Collect all relevant inventory, sales, and share data from assigned accounts.
  • Manage Customer and Channel conflict.
  • Demand Creation
  • Provide focus and local sales execution on Channel Led programs and products to targeted accounts through Wholesale Distribution.
  • Develop strong working relationships and provide support with targeted Locksmith accounts to achieve growth targets.
  • Develop joint business plans at targeted accounts and actively work account plans.
  • Establish a regular call pattern with indirect and direct accounts.
  • Provide regular feedback to Channel Led team and Management on channel partner needs.
  • Understand business and market dynamics that drive channel led segment for assigned territory and be aware of competition influence and performance.
  • Role will be predominantly remote, within the assigned territory

What You Need to Succeed :

  • 5+ years of sales experience
  • Bachelors degree in Sales, Marketing or related discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Strong background of consultative B2B sales
  • Proficient knowledge of Mechanical, Electronic and Residential Architectural Hardware preferred
  • Understanding of Strategic Pricing
  • Customer centric focus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience influencing others with a bias for action
  • Understanding of the Wholesale Distribution, Locksmith, and Integrator businesses and strategies is preferred
