MAJOR FUNCTION :
The Peer Support Tech will assist and promote a therapeutic environment. Serve as an advocate for the patients while providing an invaluable service for those striving to remain stable and abstinent from mental health, drugs and / or alcohol issues.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Education & Experience :
- High School diploma or equivalency.
- Some college courses in psychology preferred.
- 5 years working with behavioral health required.
- Experience working in an integrated care model preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year experience working with patients in a mental health facility.
- Life experience and familiarity with the basic principles of recovery.
