The Institute unites 16 centers and programs to diagnose and treat the full spectrum of heart and vascular conditions for all patients, from infants to those with advanced disease.

Summary of Essential Duties :
- As a Vascular Surgery Physician Assistant, you will provides services in inpatient and outpatient setting, including managing, planning, and coordinating of all aspects of care for patients
- Provide consultative services within the scope of service
- Obtain and perform history and physical examinations
- Record and interpret pertinent data (., labs, diagnostic studies, progress notes, , including writing orders
- Evaluate, diagnose and treat patients
- Write progress notes, collate records utilizing the electronic medical record
- Coordinate ongoing overall patient care with physician, staff, nursing staff and other ancillary care providers to ensure treatment plans are implemented
- Maintain communication with patients and families regarding care
- Demonstrates skills and knowledge necessary to deliver care appropriate to the appropriate patient population, including knowledge of growth and development, the ability to obtain and interpret information to identify patient needs, and provide the care needed
- Serve as a patient advocate throughout the care process, and represents the medical center at regional and national meetings / conferences
Position Schedule : Monday - Friday
Education :
- Bachelor's Degree
- Graduate from a PA program approved by Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation.
Licenses and Certifications :
- Valid California PA license
- PA certification issued by national Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
- DEA License required
- BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
