As part of the global Communications and Public Affairs team supporting Creative Strategy & Content, the Associate Video Producer is responsible for delivering compelling video content that meets the need of communications business objectives.

The goal is to find creative ways to build brand trust and loyalty within internal and external audiences, as well as achieve the greatest reach and shareability through compelling visual storytelling and content.

The Video Producer is responsible for content planning, concept ideation, story pitching, script writing, asset coordination, production (e.

g., camera, lighting, audio), post-production, tagging and archiving content. This role will serve as a hybrid working with both social / short-form and long-form video teams, creating content for platforms like YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, and internal channels, among others.

What You Will Do

  • Manage video projects from conception to completion, ensuring quality, consistency, and creative that breaks through the noise.
  • Develop creative concepts and scripts for video, with a primary focus on YouTube.
  • Monitor and embrace trends and technical advancements within the video landscape.
  • Direct and oversee on-site content shoots, including filming, lighting, audio and crew assignment.
  • Works with production planning team on pre-production efforts, including logistics, music clearance and procuring / vetting of cast.
  • Manages edits and enhancements of video using various editing software such as Premiere Pro, Audition, and After Effects.
  • Works with project and account teams to route final deliverables for approval.
  • Brainstorms and develops original ideas that are both timely and evergreen that align with brand, product and business priorities and social trends.
  • Collaborates with internal teams to understand project requirements.
  • Builds and maintains strong working relationships with Disney partners to establish trust and create collaboratively.
  • Keeps production calendars and pipeline grid up-to-date and reports out on upcoming projects.
  • Output projects to their appropriate format.
  • Log and tag content appropriately, and archive to its proper destination.

  • Exercises discretion with assigned projects and professional acumen in every interaction.
  • Stays up-to-date on social media trends and platforms, to better develop creative and innovative content strategies and campaigns.

Platforms include, but not limited to, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Snapchat and TikTok.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum three years of experience in the video production field
  • Minimum one year managing creative fulfillment process
  • Familiarity with shooting, editing and publishing online video
  • Process-oriented with strong quality assurance and quality control skills
  • Experienced with Adobe suite of products, especially Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, Audition and After Effects.
  • Proficient with Adobe, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop and Keynote
  • Ability to manage deadlines and produce efficient, high-quality results
  • Ability to carry at least 25 pounds of equipment to and from locations
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends (travel may be required)
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with exceptional sense of accountability
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and creative ideas in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of various media codecs

Education

Bachelor's Degree required, preferably with a background in Film, Communications, or Marketing.

The hiring range for this position in California is $77,100 - $103,400 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidates geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

A bonus and / or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
