An East Regional Sales Manager ("RSM") is responsible for meeting sales goals in the East territory. This position manages a large geographic territory.

With the sales directors help, you will identify distribution partners and bring them into the AW-Lake sales channel manage coverage gaps.

The RSM works direct selling and with distribution firms to promote and support the AW-Lake brand with the ultimate goal of achieving defined sales and profitability goals while ensuring customer satisfaction.

The RSM will provide training, technical support and constructive feedback to distributors. In addition, the RSM may become involved in high profile field service issues either in a direct or supporting role.

Preferred candidate would reside in one of the following states : Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, or Maryland

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

  • RSMs are measurement experts. They maintain technical proficiency with all AW Lake products, the Flow applications where they are used, and new products / applications as they are added / identified.
  • The RSM will develop and maintain relationships at all production locations in order to manage orders and logistics to meet customers' needs.
  • Works with distribution and direct to develop relationships with current and prospective customers resulting in AW-Lake becoming their preferred brand of flow measurement.
  • Maintains standard AW-Lake price and discount levels within the assigned territories and makes suggestions for special offers where necessary to secure highly competitive or strategic business.
  • Supports regional trade shows within his / her territories and factory training events as required.
  • Provides direct support for high profile projects and technical service issues as required.
  • Maintains up to date reporting of sales activities and tracks / reports on large long-term projects.
  • Provides feedback to management regarding industry trends and customers' requirements.
  • Conducts training sessions; both internal and external.
  • Stays current on competitors' offerings and contributes to competitive analysis by product.
  • Provides meaningful input on the overall company sales strategy, product development and marketing.
  • Create a territory marketing plan to include maintain existing business and to identify and develop new business partners and opportunities to meet or exceed financial goals for the year.
  • Create and maintain key account plans for the territory to support growth with key partners.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Travel requirements vary by region and time of year; 30-50% overnight travel is expected (minimum 7-8 days per month in the field, selling).

Customers should be visited 1-2 times per year to conduct presentations, sales calls, training, and service with our Distribution

  • Ability to work independently
  • Possess Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
  • A minimum of 3 years in outside sales and territory management with 5 plus years of Sensor / Automation experience.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

3+ years as a successful Outside sales Territory Manager with a demonstrated level of technical competence.
