Director, Regulatory Compliance LNG Operations
Venture Global LNG ("Venture Global") is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas ("LNG"). We are seeking qualified applicants for the position of Director, Regulatory Compliance LNG Operations.
General Description :
The Director, Regulatory Compliance LNG Operations is responsible for the development, implementation, and management of the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Facilities Regulatory Compliance Operations assurance program to address compliance activities for Federal, State, and Local regulatory requirements. The Director of Regulatory Compliance LNG Operations must be competent in LNG Facility regulatory code requirements including, but not limited to, 49 CFR 190-199, NFPA 59A, and 33 CFR 127 and 105. This position will report to the Director, Regulatory Compliance.
Responsibilities :
- Development, implementation, and maintaining the Operational Compliance Assurance Program for Venture Global LNG Facilities.
- Serve as the subject matter expert in Regulatory areas concerning LNG Operations; Specifically, for PHMSA, FERC, and USCG requirements.
- Responsible for developing the Regulatory Compliance Operational training program for USCG, PHMSA, and FERC; specifically, develop asset specific training for Federal regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for ready for operations (RFO) regulatory compliance program obligations for new LNG Facilities in coordination with applicable stakeholders.
- Leads the regulatory compliance assurance program necessary for Federal, State, and Local audits and inspections.
- Performs internal compliance assurance activities in coordination with applicable stakeholders in preparation of routine Federal, State, and Local audits or inspections.
- Responsible for routine and at-hac regulatory reporting obligations for Federal regulatory compliance related to LNG Facility Operations.
- Reviews external state and federal agency audit findings and provides recommendations to internal procedures and / or compliance manuals.
- Accountable for actioning compliance vulnerabilities to resolution with appropriate stakeholders.
- Responsible for establishing the internal yearly asset compliance assurance and audit program schedule for LNG Facilities Regulatory Compliance Managers and coordination thereof.
- Responsible for LNG Facility operational compliance health management and the governance thereof.
- Responsible for establishing the Regulatory Compliance operational governance program and the implementation thereof.
- Conduct inspections and audits of Operations and Maintenance activities and lead in implementation of any necessary corrective actions identified, if applicable.
- Work with Operations SME's to address areas of improvement identified from field assessments and / or changes to Venture Global processes and procedures.
- Lead in safety related incident management issues on behalf of the Regulatory Department.
- Lead in executing external and internal regulatory compliance reporting obligations.
- Analyze Compliance data mining to determine necessary training or program modifications required for Compliance Management.
- Support the Company's functional groups in planning, process and control management as it relates to regulatory compliance.
- Cooperates with LNG Operations and Construction personnel, engineering and other stakeholders to share lessons learned, experiences, and knowledge to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
Qualifications :
Associate degree is preferred or equivalent experience.10 years in Regulatory management or similar industry. A minimum of 5 years of experience in LNG.Extensive experience managing regulatory dialogue in the US and working closely with US regulatory agencies, especially FERC and PHMSA.Must maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing status.Skills : Excellent research, written and oral communication skills; Proficient data analytics capabilities; Strong logistics, time management, planning and scheduling skills required; An acute sensitivity to safety issues in a hazardous environment; Effective communicator at all levels of an organization with individuals and groups from different disciplines, industries and governmental agencies; Computer savvy including Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Experience In Adobe Captivate, Articulate 360, or equivalent e-learning design software preferred; Ability to interface and effectively communicate with different groups, including operations staff, maintenance staff, engineering departments, human resources, regulators and other Company work groups; Ability to multi-task and function in a highly dynamic atmosphere.Venture Global LNG is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
