Roll Off & Tractor Trailer Driver
Langley Recycling is a scrap metal recycling company. We are a family owned / operated company who has been in continuous business since 1931
We are looking for a truck driver with a proven track record to service our industrial accounts as well as assisting in yard activities.
Responsibilities
Perform pre- and post- inspection of the vehicle, ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, and controls are in proper working order.
Report any safety issues to maintenance Department.
- Safely service customers as assigned by the dispatcher and / or supervisor.
- Interact with all customers, dispatchers and others on a daily basis to ensure all customer routes are serviced in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform minor repairs to containers on site or in the container yard.
- Continuously monitor the condition of the vehicle to ensure it is operationally ready at all times.
- Complete required DOT trip logs and other reports, as required.
- Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Class A Commercial Driver’s license and / or Class B
- Two years’ experience driving heavy trucks.
- Mechanical aptitude to be able to do perform minor repairs to containers.
- Pass DOT pre-hire drug / alcohol screen
- Acceptable MVR
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary starts at $25.00-30.00 / hr. and will be discussed during the interview
- $1,000 signing bonus after 90 days
