Bentonville, AR Ropeswing Ropeswing The Lady Slipper - a Ropeswing new concept - is hiring for an Executive Chef. This individual is responsible for planning and directing food preparation of the restaurant.
This involves supervising and motivating Sous Chefs and kitchen staff, communicating with front of house managers and ensuring a high-quality product.
This is a salaried, exempt management role and reports directly to the General Manager.
Compensation commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct supervision over all kitchen staff; this includes hiring, training, coaching, staffing, performance evaluations, advancement as well as acting as Manager on Duty responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the restaurant, as required.
- Drive and monitor performance through KPIs, linking results with sales and marketing activities.
- Review the monthly P&L, scrutinizing costs to optimize profit margins without compromising quality.
- Maintain a high level of consistency in delivering food product quality and competitive food and labor costs.
- Communicate restaurant and department information at staff meetings, line-up, group presentations and through written memos.
- Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility and labor costs.
- Ensure all financial (invoices, reporting) and personnel / payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately, on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Track, record and replenish inventory, utilizing approved local and national sourcing outlets.
- Safeguard kitchen safety and sanitation management.
- Schedule and oversee necessary maintenance and repairs on kitchen appliances.
- Train kitchen staff on menu prep, portion control, and food handling techniques.
- Serve as a point of contact for other Managers.
- Create seasonal menus and design new dishes.
- Self-manage. Follow attendance policy, clock in / out appropriately, adhere to dress code, be proactive in accomplishing duties, adhere to Company policies and procedures.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- A minimum of 3 years of Chef Management experience, or 5 plus years sous chef experience in a high-volume, full service environment.
- Excellent verbal communication skills; organized and able to multitask; advanced math, reading and computer skills.
- Must possess or obtain all licenses and certificates required by the local health department and Alcoholic Beverage Commission.
Ability to work on your feet for hours at a time.
- Certification in safety procedures.
- Experience ordering food and supplies based on sales.
- Ability to schedule and manage labor appropriately.
