About The Position
Job Title : General Surgeon - Locum Tenens Job Specialty : General Surgery Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : DNR36 Guaranteed Hours : 8 Hours Experience : Acute care surgery experience preferred License : Minimum Board Certification Eligible Certifications : - ACLS : Required - BLS : Required Must-Have : - Laparoscopic Surgery - Appendectomy - Cholecystectomy - Hernioplasty - Nissen Fundoplication Job Description : - Provide on-call coverage for the Emergency Department.
- Complete surgeries during shift hours. - Rotate performing post-op consultations. - Daytime and weekend coverage will have PA / NP assistance.
- No clinic duties are required for this position. - Patient encounters per shift : 15 or more. - Trauma Level 3 Facility.
- Preference for experience in ventilation management, chest tube insertion, central line insertion, and PA catheter placement.
Additional Requirements : - Pediatric surgery skills are preferred, but not required. - Credentialing timeframe : Estimated 60-90 days.
