As a Program Manager here at Paladin Technologies, you will have the autonomy to build, mold, and innovate while leveraging best practices.

By working with the leading, proven, and most reliable technologies partner on the market, you will be positioned for program management and building a national team to provide project management and technical expertise that supports business development activities for our client across North America.

The Program Manager will support projects throughout multiple branches of the Paladin Organization. This position will require the Program Manager to support estimating, project management, field operations, and leadership for the Minneapolis, Minnesota area Paladin Location, and select Enterprise accounts.

The Program Manager is expected to pursue education and training in both technical competencies (AV, Cabling, Security, Emerging Technologies, etc.

as well as leadership skills and personal development.

As our Program Manager, your top priority is to build strong and trusted relationships with our client, while driving and delivering a first-class construction and service program.

You will work closely with our client and internal team to design, scope, and build highly complex integrated security systems and structured cabling infrastructure.

Position Responsibilities :

  • The Program Managerwill act in a similar capacity to a Business Manager for the current portfolio of work
  • As the program builds and Paladin expands, additional PM's will be hired into the Program to be trained and supervised by the Program Manager
  • Program Manager will supervise project budgets, subcontractor schedules and be the primary liaison between Paladin, Ownership stakeholders, other trades and the LV installation forces
  • Oversee project management activities for projects within the assigned clients.
  • Ensure that the Enterprise Project Management processes and standards of excellence are followed and developed
  • Provide direct project management support of select projects as directed by the Paladin Executive leadership team.
  • Perform strategic production tasks as needed
  • Participate in bid reviews and revisions to ensure all estimates have team sponsorship
  • Provide direct and engaged supervision, management, and mentorship for all employees in the assigned client's workflow.
  • Provide training and skill building opportunities for the project team
  • Provide advice, assistance and support to estimators, engineers, project managers and other Paladin employees when requested

Qualifications :

Previous and progressive experience as a Project or Program Manager in the integrated security and / or low voltage industry.

We will consider applicants from other related industries (i.e., Telecommunications, Electrical)

  • Previous experience managing multiple large projects preferred
  • Experience delivering projects utilizing open-platform security solutions with integrated access control, intrusion and video management systems
  • Experience with Genetec Systems is a bonus
  • Previous sales, estimating, or design experience is a bonus
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is considered an asset
  • Post-secondary education from an engineering technology program (controls and instrumentation, electronics, electrical, etc.)
  • Experience in project planning, risk management, cost management and schedule management, and methods of analyzing and reporting project performance on financial and other KPI's
  • Adaptability and flexibility including the ability to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity, and change
  • Negotiating skills within a context of political sensitivity and conflicting interests
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to prioritize and display a high level of adaptability / flexibility

Training Responsibilities :

  • Increase Management and Leadership Skills
  • Increase Low Voltage Systems knowledge periodically throughout the year
  • Increase Networking knowledge periodically throughout the year
  • Maintain and stay current with Voice / Data Cabling Systems knowledge periodically throughout the year
  • Increase Customer Service Practices knowledge periodically throughout the year
  • Specifically, and aggressively pursue training and an increased competency with sub-disciplines needed to ensure the Program Manager, Low Voltage Construction is qualified to design and coordinate all sub-disciplines (Cabling, AV, Security, Networking, DAS, etc.)
  • Pursue and Maintain industry recognized certifications like RCDD, CTS, CSPM, RTPM, PMP etc.
  • Continually improve competencies with all software's and programs used including (but not limited to) MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) MS Teams, MS Projects, etc.

  • Be available to support the assigned customer and Enterprise Employees in their day-to-day operations
  • Provide timely submission of Deliverables on or before due dates
  • Coordinate with Internal and External Groups to create Technology Design Packages where needed
  • Proactively manage expectations from internal and external sources
  • Effectively and professionally manage multiple communications platforms (email, collaboration / messaging (MS Teams, Smartsheet)
  • Weekly :
  • Provide direction and oversight to the assigned client's project team, ensuring "Load Balancing" has occurred
  • Communicate with Senior Management regarding any department related issues, concerns, objectives, etc.
  • Complete assigned tasks related to Paladin Process development (standards, details, SOP's etc.)
  • Look for and take advantage of opportunities for training for the team
  • Meet one-on-one with all direct reports at minimum of bi-weekly; more as required
  • Actively monitor project schedules to ensure Paladin's deliverables and milestones are on track

  • Lead the team with good, sound direction, judgement and provide a positive example of Paladin Core Values
  • Track monthly estimated project costs and monthly awarded project costs
  • Prepare expense reports in accordance with policies
  • Track and manage project billing cycles
  • Review and track project expenses and update budgets monthly

  • Provide feedback and suggestions for Dept processes
  • Participate in training and documentation efforts
  • Participate in company and departmental strategy as requested by Management
  • Provide detailed and meaningful employee reviews for all direct reports

Rate of Pay : $90,000 - $110,000 / year DOE
