Generation Mid-Level Structural Engineer

POWER Engineers, Member of WSP, is seeking a Mid Level Structural Engineer to work in our Generation Civil / Structural / Architectural Department in our Boise, ID office.

Responsibilities

  • Mid-level structural engineer with experience in structural steel and reinforced concrete analysis and engineering for heavy industrial projects
  • Technical knowledge of building codes and material specifications
  • Working knowledge of structural analysis and design software
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, individually and as part of a project team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Required Education / Experience

  • 5+ years of structural engineering experience
  • ABET-accredited BS Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering
  • EIT obtained
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship

    • Desired Education / Experience

  • PE license obtained at least in one State
  • Knowledge and / or ability to learn 3D modeling software
  • Experience in power generation, transmission, and distribution projects
  • Experience with RISA or STAAD software
  • A strong understanding of structural building codes
  • Seismic analysis and design
  • Dynamic foundation analysis
