We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our Home Health Care team.

As the first point of contact, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service to our patients and visitors. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, multitasking abilities, and a passion for supporting healthcare professionals in a home health setting.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Greet patients, visitors, and family members in a warm and professional manner
  • Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls and inquiries to the appropriate staff
  • Schedule appointments for patient visits, including home health care assessments
  • Maintain and update patient records and documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system
  • Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary documentation for billing
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed by patients before appointments
  • Assist with the intake process for new patients, including verifying eligibility and obtaining necessary authorizations
  • Provide information to patients and families regarding home health care services, policies, and procedures
  • Manage and coordinate incoming and outgoing correspondence, including mail, faxes, and emails
  • Ensure the front desk area is clean, organized, and presentable
  • Assist with billing, filing, and administrative tasks as needed
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient care delivery
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations

Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or GED required; additional administrative or healthcare-related certifications preferred
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems (e.g., EPIC, Cerner) preferred
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and patient privacy regulations
