The Inova Registered Nurse :
Provides knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patient, family, nurse, and healthcare delivery team.
Consistently provides safe, therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way. Incorporates differences into the provision of care.
Conducts all patient care in a patient and family-centered manner. Integrates knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum, to include patient and family education.

Required Experience : A minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting. A minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience.

Minimum Education Requirement : BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an AD, within six months from date of hire, they must meet with their nurse leader and conduct the following : Identify which accredited school they plan to attend Provide a written plan with anticipated BSN completion date Submit a review of transcripts from the school indicating the required pre-requisites and timeline for taking the courses Complete BSN within 24 months of start date
Minimum Licensure / Certification Requirement :
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start
