Operating Room Registered Nurse Full Time

Old Tesson Surgery Center is a fast-paced Ambulatory Surgery Center located in St. Louis County with a focus in Orthopedics (sports medicine, total joints, orthopedic spine, etc.

and Podiatry. We are currently looking for a hard working efficient Operating Room RN Circulator to add to our team. We are offering up to a $10,000 Sign-On Bonus! The Operating Room Registered Nurse is responsible for the nursing activities related to orthopedic surgical procedures.

The RN will be responsible for positioning the patient, prepping the patient and circulating the case. Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.

One year previous OR experience Current state license as a Registered Nurse Current in CPR, ACLS and PALS Possess the ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.

Possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians, and employees. Job Summary Determines data collection based on the patient's condition or needs as related to the proposed interventions Addresses the physiological, psychological, socio-cultural and spiritual needs / responses of the patient.

Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks and flexibility as job priorities change. Demonstrates a positive can do attitude Work is accurate and complete Demonstrates knowledge and follows AORN standards Functions as a team member Completes initial and annual competencies as required.

Maintains licenses and certifications. Adheres to dress code, attendance punctuality, meal break and rest periods Demonstrates the ability to communicate clearly and concisely Attends required department and hospital meetings.

Assumes responsibility for continuing education requirements Required Skills : Qualifications : Graduate of accredited school or professional nursing.

minimum 1-2 year’s experience in surgery (orthopedic background preferred) Current Missouri RN License BLS, ACLS and PALS required CNOR preferred Critical thinking skills.

Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients and families. Knowledgeable of hospital policies and procedures specific to the operating room.

Clinically proficient in OR nursing skills, ability to scrub a plus. USPI complies with federal, state, and / or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce.
