Position Title : Full-Time Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (2024 / 25 School Year)

Responsibilities :
Assess students' hearing levels, communication skills, and educational needs.
Provide instruction using sign language, spoken language, or a combination, based on students' needs.
Adapt curriculum, materials, and environments to ensure accessibility.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
Traveling between 3-4 different sites.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including 504 and IEP meetings, and contribute expertise in addressing students' needs and goal-setting.
Stay current with best practices, research, and legal requirements related to deaf and hard of hearing education.
Qualifications :
Bachelors or Masters degree in Education for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing or related field.
Valid certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
Proficient in sign language and / or other communication methods.
Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and procedures.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines.
