The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with established policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent leadership abilities, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage and supervise the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders as needed.
Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
Stay updated on accounting regulations and industry best practices, and implement changes as necessary to maintain compliance and efficiency.
Collaborate with other departments to support strategic initiatives and business objectives.
Perform other duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
Proven experience (8+ years) in accounting or finance roles, with 5 years of managerial experience.
Thorough understanding of accounting principles, regulations, and standards (GAAP).
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Leadership qualities with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
