General Statement of Duties :
- Directs, supervises, coordinates specific functions and activities of the operation of the practice as requested including clinic systems, support services, etc.
- Assists the Chief Executive Officer in developing new products, services and locations.
- Assists in the selection, employment, development and management of employees. Responsible for clinic and support personnel policies and practices.
- Promotes the provision of cost-effective, high-quality healthcare services for patients. Represents clinic services at professional meetings and conferences as requested.
Participates in clinic communication and public relations programs.
- Assures that clinical employees are properly oriented and trained in patient care and hospital operations including in-service training and continuing education.
- Reviews operational problems / policies and recommends solutions and changes to the Chief Executive Officer.
- Assists in preparation and implementation of budgets. Recommends funding based on thorough knowledge of policies, costs, and operating procedures.
- Leads the development and the design of new locations and facilities. Recommends practice facility improvements including construction, renovation and purchase of equipment.
- Interprets clinic and departmental policies, objectives and operational procedures to department heads. Resolves problems related to staffing, utilization of facilities, equipment and supplies.
- Coordinates, or serves as administrative lead, as requested, on committees of the board, clinic and support services, including physician advisory committees.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. / B.S.) in related field required; Master’s degree in related field preferred.
- 8-10 years of health administration experience required, including at least four years of experience in a clinical environment.
