MS. in Computer Science, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering
- Experience in Matlab / Python or other programming languages for the purpose of data analysis
- Understanding of Classical Control Theory : PID, tuning, stability, filters, etc.
- Have worked with some form of Multi DOF robotic systems outside of standard coursework
- Basic familiarity with C or C++
- Solid mathematical background in Calculus and Linear Algebra
Attributes of an Ideal resume for the Control Engineer position
- Experience in Lab Equipment including Oscilloscopes, DAQ systems, and other electrical test systems
- Extensive experience is dynamic modelling of multi-link systems
- Understand control methodologies of Brushless DC motors such as Field Oriented Control
- Ability to read and analyze : electrical schematics, CAD models, and mechanical drawings
- Coursework or Job Experience in the usage of Modern Control Theory
- Rapid Prototyping via 3D printers
- Advanced knowledge in these topics : Modern Control Theory, Compliance Control, Signal Processing
Required skills :
- Skilled in general mathematical modeling and analysis.
- Familiarity with system dynamics and control systems theory.
- Thermal modeling and analysis.
- Hands on experience with control systems and tuning.
- Proficiency in using MATLAB for data analysis and data control simulation
- Experience in C and C++ programming for Linux and for embedded systems.
- Some experience in electronic circuit design, prototyping, and troubleshooting.
Desirable Skills
- A theoretical background and experience in electrical and electronic system design.
- Experience in digital and analog circuit design, embedded systems, interfacing with microcontrollers, power electronics design, and motion control.
- Familiarity with optical design and opto-electronic components, such as laser diodes, photodiodes, transceiver circuits.
- Proficiency in OrCAD, PADS or similar design tools.
- Lab skills, including soldering of components, rework of PCBAs. Minimum
