AWS Applications and Higher Level Abstractions (Apps) provides horizontal and industry vertical applications for business users with the same on-demand scalability, reliability, pay-as-you-go pricing, and machine learning expertise that drive AWS services.
The AWS Applications group includes services such as Amazon Connect (a cost-effective cloud contact center), our End User Computing (including Amazon Workspaces, AppStream, etc.
Marketing Tech (Amazon Pinpoint), and Autonomous Checkout and Identity Services (Just Walk Out, Amazon One) for retail, sports, travel, and other verticals.
We are looking for a talented Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) who has experience delivering efficient test plans that work back from the customer experience and use data to drive decisions.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive quality across the entire organization while helping deliver a range of products and features that our customers will love.
You will work with our software development teams to design and build test plans, test cases, and automation while providing the governance and guidance to ensure we build it correct and we build it great.
By executing, writing and improving our automation you will maintain a high-quality bar on existing products and new features.

Key job responsibilities
- Represent our customers by being an advocate for their experience during development.
- Manage full quality life cycles for your projects from test planning, execution, triage, and launch to sustaining operations.
- Create and maintain automated tests to maintain a high-quality bar for rapid development.
- Drive quality best practices with stakeholders as a partner and advisor.
- Provide regular updates to peers and leadership on projects.
- Question existing process and methods to help the team improve over time

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
- Experience in automation testing
- Experience in manual testing
- Experience in UI and API automation testing (Selenium / SOAPUI)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in API & Mobile testing
- Experience designing and planning test conditions, test scripts, and test data sets to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage and control
