Qualifications :
- Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) Understanding : Ability to understand and capture CTQ and support strategy development.
- Problem-Solving Skills : Excellent ability to translate market findings into new product / enhancement ideas and investigate product capability extensions, including potential design changes, upgrades, and improvements.
- Root Cause Analysis : Ability to lead and / or support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for technical issues.
- Technical Skills : Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Communication : Effective verbal, written, and presentation skills, tailored to diverse audiences.
- RFQ Experience : Experience with technical and commercial Requests for Quotation (RFQs).
- Priority Management : Proven experience in managing and redirecting multiple priorities effectively.
- Technical Experience : 7-10 years in Applications Engineering or related Engineering roles, particularly in design, technical support, field service, or sales application engineering.
- Industry Expertise : Ideal experience in piping and process control skids, including sizing and selecting steel piping, pumps, motors, blowers, heaters, valves, and structural elements.
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.
Responsibilities :
- RFQ Evaluation : Evaluate customer RFQs, develop technical solutions, validate technical scopes, and create technical proposals to support the Sales team.
- Technical Risk Mitigation : Collaborate with the Commercial / Sales team to ensure visibility and mitigation of technical risks, and provide input for product / scope standardization within designated product lines.
- Quotation Process Management : Follow, create, and adapt to the sales process, leading the implementation of quotation inputs within the ERP system (EPICOR).
- Documentation Creation : Create executive, financial, and technical summaries to support sales proposals.
- Compliance : Adhere to company and client quality, safety, and environmental management systems and procedures at all times.
- Proposal Development : Develop pre-bid technical qualifications and proposals around defined standard product solutions, including technical scope development and estimating for customer / site-specific requirements.
- Technical Advocacy : Communicate and advocate technical solutions to key stakeholders within client organizations.
- Product Support : Provide technical support to Sales to select the most appropriate product configuration for customer needs.
- Customer Engagement : Respond to technical questions from prospective customers related to product applicability and capability.
- Training : Provide product technical training for internal stakeholders and clients, ensuring comprehensive understanding of the company’s offerings.
- Deal Strategy : Collaborate with Sales and Engineering to develop specific deal strategies that maximize win potential and ensure profitable project execution.
- Productivity Tools : Provide input to management for the development of productivity tools to enhance the accuracy and speed of proposal development.
- New Product Development : Contribute input to Marketing for new product development initiatives and participate in reviewing marketing collateral for technical accuracy.
- Site Surveys : Perform site surveys to configure product solutions tailored to specific customer requirements.
- Configuration Control : Support configuration control records maintenance and ensure accurate documentation.
- Contract Negotiations : Support contract negotiations with timely document edits and internal reviews and approvals.
- Customer Issue Resolution : Participate in resolving customer complaints and technical issues, leveraging knowledge to support investigations.
- Customer-Centric Product Planning : Understand potential customers and partners, using this knowledge to develop customer-centric product plans.
