Provide professional execution of day-to-day tasks and special projects while working within established standards, policies and procedures.

This is a Year-Round, full or part time, flexible internship based on school schedule.

Employee Communications is responsible for crafting and executing internal enterprise-wide messaging and branding that serves the strategic goal of maintaining an informed, prepared and engaged workforce.

Our team of Communications Specialists, Internal Graphic Designers and Digital Media Producers help plan, produce and distribute key messages that effectively engage internal audiences.

  • Develop and manage the internal communications for enterprise or department events and campaigns designed to inform and / or drive action under general supervision with limited discretion
  • Create, write, and produce timely internal communications to inform management and employees while ensuring consistent messaging and organizational vision
  • Collaborate with Human Resources, Marketing, Public Relations, Corporate Communications, and other business area colleagues to ensure internal communications are consistent with current policies and procedures
  • Provide editorial content for Navy Federal’s intranet site
  • Maintain a uniform editorial style to support the Navy Federal brand and guiding principles
  • Serve as business unit client consultant and liaison for internal communication projects
  • Provide support to assigned department; may work on small projects or portions of larger projects
  • Support business strategy and initiatives within the business unit and / or across the organization
  • Assist and collaborate with various levels of staff to accomplish tasks / assignments
  • Perform research and analysis; may include quantitative and / or qualitative analysis
  • Maintain professionalism in all interactions, placing member service as priority
  • Provide comprehensive day-to-day operational support
  • Provide support in functional areas of the credit union
  • May provide direct member service in high volume situations
  • Process and update data in automated systems; may generate and analyze reports
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Entry-level copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills to develop and / or implement communication campaigns and / or employee programs
  • College-level courses or professional training or experience in communications or related field
  • Basic experience in project management to include managing timelines / deadlines / resources; ensuring successful project implementation
  • Basic knowledge of communication, publication, and multimedia production processes and tools
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage small to medium scale projects, work independently, and contribute to the goals of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and in writing
  • Must be pursuing a degree from an accredited college / university
