The Manger of Sales Planning and Analytics is responsible for measuring and evaluating sales performance to provide actional insights to improve sales effectiveness and go-to-market strategies.
The position is responsible for leading a team that leverages technology, data analytics, and statistical modeling to identify business opportunities, drive performance results, and shape business decisions.
The Manager of Revenue Analytics will be a forward-thinking innovator capable of serving as a strategic and technical guide to key business partners.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Sales Planning and Analytics team in analyzing sales goals, metrics, and performance to ensure effective sales execution and achievement of growth objectives.
- Develop and design reporting, analytics, and dashboards that support incentive programs, decision making, contract management, customer requests, and sales planning activities.
- Identify opportunities to increase margin through a combination of price and share actions.
- Sales Planning team will be a critical stakeholder in providing objective decision support for program management, sales channel analytics, and sales strategy.
- Key support team for developing annual budget targets to ensure optimal balance between business objectives and sales incentives.
- Incorporate the latest analytics technologies to drive efficiency and ease of analytical capabilities.
- Lead weekly review of customer and sales performance reporting with key stakeholders from the commercial team to identify actions for margin improvement.
- Manage contract review process and revenue modeling to ensure timely evaluation and response for key accounts related to contract renewals.
- Train and develop the analytical capabilities of the Sales Planning team.
Qualifications
- Masters level degree in Economics, Statistics, Finance, Marketing Analytics, or related analytical field
- Strong abilities in verbal and written communication, presentation of complex concepts, and partnering skills
- Demonstrated strong project management skills, including the ability to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously and changing priorities
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced business environment and display professionalism and confidence in challenging situations
- SQL and / or R programming experience
- Experience with visualization reporting (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
- 7+ years' previous experience in business analytics, sales operations and planning, or similar role.
- 3+ years' experience leading a team in an analytical capacity
