SUPERVISOR, ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER (PEDIATRIC MEDICAL SERVICES)

Memorial Healthcare System is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to supervise and lead Advanced Practice Provider teams across several Pediatric Medical specialties.

The selected candidate will have a clinical practice in their medical specialty. In addition to clinical duties, administrative responsibilities include leading the recruitment, onboarding, new employee orientation and development, implementation of department specific competencies, and annual performance evaluations.

The selected candidate will maximize the APP team’s and individual’s performance for the healthcare system by facilitating coaching as a leadership style and rounding.

The ideal candidate will have at least five (5) years’ experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in a pediatric specialty with demonstrate progressive leadership skills.

Candidates must have a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (or Master's equivalent) from an ARC-PA accredited program and possess a Physician Assistant Certification.

A BLS and PALS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, and a Florida license must be obtained by date of hire.

The provider’s schedule will be dedicated approximately 80% of the time to clinical assignments and 20% to administrative responsibilities.

Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital is a 216 bed free-standing children’s hospital in Hollywood, Broward County, Florida located near Fort Lauderdale.

The hospital recently underwent a 4-story vertical expansion to double the number of floors and continue to meet its commitment to providing the highest quality and safest care for children in the region.
