About The Position
Job Title : Medical Technologist Job Specialty : Chemistry Department Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night, 5x8 Hour (23 : 00 - 07 : 00, Wednesday - Sunday) Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : 1 Year Required (Open to first-time travelers) License : Compact or State License Required Certifications : ASCP, Required COVID-19 Vaccine (Medical / Religious Exemptions Only), Required Flu Vaccine (No Exemptions) Must-Have : Every third weekend coverage- Relevant experience in the specialty for all locations Job Description : Perform chemistry testing including 24-hour urine, cardiac enzymes, hormone / thyroid, immunoassay, therapeutic drug monitoring, and tumor markers.
- Conduct hematology testing such as bleeding time, manual CBC and differential, fibrin split products, fibrinogen, platelet aggregation, platelet count, reticulocyte count, and manual sed rate.
- Execute immunology tests including ANA, ASO titer, body fluids analysis, C3 and total complement, pregnancy tests, rapid test kits, and RPR.
- Handle specimen processing including accessioning, pipetting, and specimen collection.- Conduct urinalysis with crystal identification, manual macroscopic, and microscopic urine analysis.
- Participate in an 8-hour orientation.- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Notes : Facility does not accept local travelers;
candidates must reside over 65 miles from the site.- Prospective employees who previously worked as permanent staff or in-house contractors must have a one-year separation before reapplying as travelers.
Interviews require disclosure of any requests for time off.
