About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse - Telemetry Job Specialty : Telemetry Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12H Nights Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours / week Experience : 2 years License : LA License Required Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (preferred) Must-Have : Tele RN required, IV skills, NGT, PEG, PCA, wound vacs, Chest tubes, Drains, PICC, midlines, TR Band, dressing changes, Cardiac strip interpretation Job Description : - Work in a stroke and chest-pain accredited facility with 794 licensed beds.
- Patient types include Telemetry, Med / Surg, Cardiac, AFib, Post-surgical, cholecystectomy, CP, CHF, Diabetics, s / p cath lab, and GI issues, with rare COVID cases.
- Typical patient ratios are with CNA support available. - Perform tasks such as EKG competency, desired MedSurg knowledge, and central monitoring.
- Support from a charge nurse, resource nurse, and hospitalist who are available 24 / 7. - Utilize a Meditech EMR system, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis for medication dispensing.
- Willing to float to Med Surg Tele units as needed. - Attend a brief orientation lasting 1-2 days and adhere to a weekend rotation and holiday expectations.
- Scrub color for the unit is Galaxy Blue. - The unit is known for its teamwork and traveler-friendly culture.
