Job Description

Responsible for the efficient, cost effective maintenance repair and preventive maintenance of all equipment, buildings and facilities.

Duties & Responsibilties

• Performs mechanical and electrical repair of all equipment associated with operations.
• Installs machinery, pipes, structural steel, etc. at a multi-plant location.
• Specify and purchase replacement parts and equipment.
• Helps maintain correct stockroom inventory.
• Receives and carries out directions accurately and efficiently.
• Operates in compliance with all health, safety and environmental rules and regulations.
• Knows and complies with all corporate / plant policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates commitement to Responsible Care in every day activities.
• Directs all or portions of maintenance work crew or in concert with others as directed.
• Interprets and reacts to instrumentation readings to control the process.
• Diagnoses problems and determines course of action to solve or correct situation.
• Maintains housekeeping.
• Ability to self direct assignments and complete in a safe and efficient manner.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Industrial Maintenance Experience 5+ Years Preferred
• Completion of 4 Technical Trade Courses (Apprentice Program)
• Must meet the specified physical capabilities for this positionElectrical Knowledge 480V MCC Buckets Troubleshooting and Minor Repairs
• Welding Experience
• Able to follow Written and Verbal Instructions
• Able to Demonstrate Basic Computer Skills
• Good Interpersonal Skills, Work Well within Team Environments
• Good Decision-making Skills (makes decisions, acts upon them, willing to defend decisions over peer pressure)
• Must Demonstrate a Strong Work Ethic (Attendance, Attitude, Etc.)
• Understanding of LOTO, Hot Work, Line Break, SOP, Etc.
• Ability to pass forklift certification course.
• Pass PQ Maintenance Mechanic Written and Skills Tests.
• Must meet the specified physical capabilities for this position

Additional Information

• Communicates, promotes and personally demonstrates Safety / Health (including PQP Principles) as #1 priority
• Participation in risk assessment audits as applicable
• Understand PQ Principles (PQP) and how they are implemented in the site organization, rules and procedures
• Completes HSE training requirements identified for the job in a timely manner
