Golf Professional will be a highly skilled and energetic leader who will manage all aspects of the golf operations. This individual will serve as the ambassador to the Ocala Preserve Community, representing the club and its relationships with the owners, members, guests, employees, and industry.
They will serve as the main point of contact during the club's opening and development phases, which will involve hosting site tours, coordinating preview play operations, staffing for the course opening, and acting as a jack of all trades by providing support wherever needed.
Additionally, this role will require planning for temporary and future buildings to accommodate the clubs growth.
This position will be responsible for providing an exceptional experience to our members and guests, overseeing the golf shop, coordinating tournaments and events, and managing the golf course support staff.
Additionally, the Golf Professional will set and monitor the golf operations budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility while maintaining the quality of product and service to ensure member satisfaction in all facets of the club.
Skills, expertise , and traits :
- Excellent communicator and manager of people
- The ability to utilize modern technologies (computer : Microsoft Office, POS systems, QuickBooks, social media, and programs in managing workplace procedures)
- Be naturally organized in goal setting, project planning, and prioritizing, as well as managing stakeholder relations, budgets, and timeframes.
- Comprehension of private golf operations experience including club culture, membership sales, club events, group outings, merchandise, media relations
- Will project the company brand of professionalism, fun, relationship building, and positive results, in their appearance and demeanor, both externally (with clients and in public), and internally to fellow staff
