Our US regional office in Farmington, MI is looking to hire a talented Quality Engineer to join our growing Quality department.

Job Description :

1.Establish and maintain customer relationships to increase customer satisfaction.

2.Should have the ability to handle abnormal problems in the customer receipt and assembly process and make preliminary judgements.

5W2H method can be used to describe the issue and notice the relevant responsible persons immediately.

3.Support Safe Launch process as an interface between the OEM / Tier 1 customer and HQ.

4.Responsible for all plant level quality concerns for assigned product.

5.Provide timely FA (Failure Analysis) results in an 8D format (specific to customers' requirements).

6.Serve as a direct point of contact for customer complaints.

7.Maintain control table of rejects and report out to customers on ICA and PCA.

8.Understand how each part is utilized in the vehicle build and become the expert regarding what customer expects from us as a supplier.

9.Ability to contain / isolate / sort the suspect products at the customers production location according to the scope and risk of the preliminary FA.

10.Train quality auditors on proper inspection methods, acceptability, and handling.

11.Champion problem resolution meetings for customer complaints.

12.Assist in detailed FA.

13.Travel will be required based on program / customer responsibility.

Required :

  • 4 Year Degree in Engineering discipline is preferred (4-6 years of work experience will be considered in lieu of degree).
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in automotive areas of Supplier Quality or Product Quality.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize activities and manage deadlines.
  • Understanding and ability to perform FA (use of Oscilloscope / DMM / Optical Microscope).
  • Understanding of problem-solving principles (3L5W, 8D, FTA).
  • Proficiency with standard Microsoft office suite (PowerPoint is a must)
  • Excellent Communication Skills.
  • Experience in participating in quality investigations, undertaking root cause analysis and developing corrective action plans.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues and work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred :

  • 6Sigma Green Belt preferred
  • Mandarin speaking preferred (Must speak fluent English)
  • Electrical Engineering (EE) bachelor's degree or similar degree
  • APQP or other quality related certification is a plus
