Job Title : Correctional MS / Tele RN Nurse
Location : Locked corrections unit, including oncology and non-oncology patient population. Will work closely with Corrections Officers.
Skillset : MS / Tele RNs
Float : Yes, to other tower units and will take MS patients there
Patient Demographics : Adults, Geriatrics
Daily Census : 21 patients

Patient Diagnoses :
- Oncology diagnoses including solid tumors, blood cancers, post-op care
- Oncology workup or history of cancer with no active treatment plan
- Other conditions like COPD, CHF, tumor lysis, DIC, Sepsis, chemo administration, neutropenic fevers, etc.
Certifications Required : BLS
Work Settings : Med / Surg, Telemetry
Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Response :
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Telemetry monitoring
- Use of Rapid Response Teams
Endocrine / Metabolic :
IV insulin protocols
IV Therapy / Phlebotomy :
- Blood Product Administration
- Central line blood draw
- Peripheral Line Care / Management
- Phlebotomy
- PICC line management
- Starting IVs Medications :
- Heparin
- Heparin
Respiratory :
- High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
- Nasal Cannula
- Non-invasive airway management
- Oral suctioning
- Portable Oxygen tank
Professional Knowledge and Skills :
Isolation Precautions
