$2,850 per week

About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Profession : Nursing

Specialty : CVPICU

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night

Hours per Shift : 12

Experience : Minimum of 2 years in CVPICU required.

License : Valid state license preferred at time of submission.

Certifications : BLS, PALS; NRP preferred.

Must-Have : Experience in CVPICU and post-op cardiac procedures required.

Description :

Position for a Registered Nurse in the CVPICU.

Shift is 3x12 nights.

First-time travelers are accepted with 2+ years of experience.

Weekend availability is required.

Additional certifications required include BLS and PALS; NRP preferred.

No on-call duties are required.

Floater position within the hospital to NICU and pediatric units.

Experience is required in bedside procedures including central line placement, arterial line placement, lumbar puncture, intubation / extubation, CRRT initiation / discontinuation, ECMO cannulation / decannulation, and chest exploration.

The unit cares for critically ill or injured pediatric patients.

Staff is required to provide state-of-the-art care to infants, children, and adolescent patients.

Team collaboration with various medical and surgical services is expected.

Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory, nutrition, pharmacology, therapy services, social work, child life specialists, and more.

The unit provides care for patients with a spectrum of health issues including trauma, surgery, respiratory, cardiac, hematology / oncology, and neurologic disorders.

Patient demographic includes neonates, adolescents, infants, and pediatrics.

Daily patient census is approximately 14 with a 20-bed capacity.

Patient ratios are 1 : 1 or 1 : 2.

Candidates will float to affiliated units as needed.

Return staff policy requires a break of 6 or more months.
