What is the Home Care - Resident Assistant experience?
As a Resident Assistant (Caregiver), your responsibilities include delivering direct patient care with a focus on preserving each resident's dignity, privacy, and confidentiality while upholding the rights and individuality of all residents.
Additional duties include :
- Support residents in maintaining nutritional intake by serving meals, offering encouragement, and assisting with eating.
- Employ a resident-centered active listening approach in communication, providing verbal explanations before delivering care.
- Use mechanical lifts for transfers as directed by the care plan / service plan or when instructed by the person in charge.
- Promptly report any changes in a resident's health, cognition, or behavior to the person in charge.
- Adhere to facility safety, infection prevention, and control procedures, following the care plan / service guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
What are the job qualifications?
- While experience in offering direct care to adults is desirable, it is not a mandatory requirement.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English is essential for effective communication with residents, families, and staff.
- A must-have includes the ability to follow directions, collaborate effectively in a team, and deliver excellent customer service to residents.
- Must consent to and pass a criminal background check

- Pay range : $17.75 - 21.00, depending on experience + Weekend Shift differential
