Description : POSITION SUMMARY :

Develops, organizes, and implements high quality YMCA program(s) for the Babcock Ranch area including sports, aquatics, youth development and wellness.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Directs and supervises program activities to meet YMCA objectives of the following programs :
• Youth & Adult Sports
• Day Camp, Before & After School
• Recruits, trains, develops, schedules and directs personnel and volunteers as needed. Reviews and evaluates staff performance. Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.
• Establishes new program activities and expands program within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans.
• Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information, may organize and schedule program registrations. May review and assist with processing program scholarship applications.
• Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations.
• Develops and monitors program budget to meet fiscal objectives.
• Coordinates use of facilities for program activities and events.
• Assists in YMCA fund raising activities and special events.
• Responds to all member and community inquiries and complaints in timely manner.
• Assists with Program Committee meetings
• Compiles program statistics. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of and participation in program.
• Organizes and oversees program activities and events.
• Recruits and coordinates and ensures screening for volunteers from the local community.
• Coordinates and monitors teen summer camps.
• Organizes, and conducts Leaders Club / Leadership High School activities and events.
• Secures facilities for program activities and events.
• Facilitates and coordinates participation in community events, expos, on and offsite open houses, etc. in order to increase awareness and foster relationships in YMCA programs.
• Responsible for upholding all staff safety requirements including cleaning protocols throughout the day, as required by my department.
• On-site attendance is required of this position
