About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : NICU Job Duration : 8 weeks Shift : Night 3x12-Hour (19 : 00 - 07 : 30) Guaranteed Hours : Experience : 2 years required License : Valid State License required for the respective location Certifications : BLS, NRP, and STABLE Must-Have : Previous charge experience preferred, one prior travel assignment with solid NICU experience Job Description : Work in a nursery unit with babies born at or after 32 weeks who require a higher level of care but do not need NICU.
- Patient ratio of 1 : 3.- Dysrhythmia interpretation and management proficiency.- Administer IV antibiotics and manage vasopressors during codes.
- Handle insulin administration and titration.- Manage central lines and draw blood cultures.- Ventilator management and CPAP expertise.
- Start peripheral IVs.- Experience with Care Management Software (such as Cerner).- Act as Charge Nurse as needed.- Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity.
- Weekend and holiday rotation as needed.- Flu vaccine mandatory; no exemptions allowed.- Participate in an orientation program of 28 hours, with modules included before start.
Note : Candidates must have gone through a minimum gap of one year if previously employed. Interviews may or may not be conducted as part of the selection process.
