Pharmacy Technician- Part-Time

We are currently hiring for a Certified Pharmacy Technician ( CPhT ) at Tricare Prime Clinic ( TPC ) in Chesapeake, Virginia!
- Employment Statu s : Part-time - Weekends only
- Compensation : Hourly position, paid bi-weekly
- Schedule :
- Services shall be provided Saturday and Sunday between 7 am and 7 pm.
- During holiday weeks, the amount of coverage would decrease.
- Clinic hours are : 9a-7p on the following holidays : New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day
- Clinic is open 7a-7p on all other holidays

- Pharmacy Technician must have and meet the following :
Education :
Completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), completion certificate required
Completion of a retail- or hospitial-based Pharmacy Technician program, certificate or letter required
Completion of training program in the United States Military, certificate required
Certification :
- Certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
- BLS- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross Healthcare Provider Course
Experience : MUST have a minimum of 12 consecutive months of experience within the preceding 24 months working as a pharmacy technician
- Letters of Recommendation required :
- Must be able to provide two letters of recommendation from within the last two years that attest to your clinical skills.
- One letter must be from a practicing Pharmacist or Pharmacy Supervisor who has personally observed and evaluated clinical skills.
- The other letter may be from a clinic, hospital administrator, physician, or nurse with personal knowledge your skills
- Reference letters shall attest to your communication skills, ability to relate to others, and professional and other interpersonal skills among staff members.
- Letters must include : name, title, phone number, date of reference, address, and signature of the individual providing the reference .
