The Iowa Primary Care Association is actively recruiting a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to provide care at a vibrant community health center (FQHC) in Des Moines, Iowa ! Join our community health center in a position that will help the organization to maintain their status as an employer, partner, and provider of choice in the area.

The largest source of comprehensive primary care for underserved communities and populations.
With an integrated care model that includes medical, dental, behavioral health, and pharmacy services, patients can access comprehensive, coordinated services often under one roof.
Role Details :
- Hours : 8 : 00a-5 : 00p with possible occasional evenings & weekends
- Clinic Hours : Monday-Friday 8 : 00a-8 : 00p and Saturdays 9 : 00a-1 : 00p; position located at University Ave clinic but will oversee all clinic locations
- Full time position : 40 hours / week; anticipating 50% administrative time & 50% patient facing time
- Sees on average 18 patients per day on a full patient facing day
- Supervisory Responsibility : directly oversee 3 Medical Directors, 1 Behavioral Health Director, 1 Pharmacy Director, & 1 HIV Clinical Director
- EHR : Ochin Epic

Requirements :
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school and completion of residency programBoard certified or board eligible in Family or Internal MedicineLicensed to practice medicine in the state of Iowa5+ years of experience with a demonstrated track record of growth into leadership roles, including increasing responsibility, team oversight, and strategic decision-makingBilingual in English & Spanish preferredExperience in rural healthcare or community health center setting preferred
