Job Description

  • Implement and maintain quality control protocols to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
  • Conduct inspections, audits, and tests to verify adherence to quality standards throughout all phases of the project.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to address quality issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Develop and update quality assurance documentation, including reports, non-conformance logs, and corrective action plans.
  • Train and mentor project teams on quality control procedures and best practices.
  • Monitor construction activities to identify potential quality risks and recommend preventive measures.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide quality-related updates to stakeholders.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance in all quality control activities.

The Successful Applicant

The Successful Quality Control Manager will have :

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Quality Control Manager or similar role in large-scale construction projects, ideally within transportation infrastructure.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex project specifications and drawings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Certifications such as ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I or equivalent are preferred.
  • Ability to travel to project sites within Rhode Island as needed.
