Data Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Architect with hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure to join our client’s dynamic team.

As a Data Architect , you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing our data architecture, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security of our data ecosystem.

Data Architect Responsibilities :

• Design and develop data architecture solutions utilizing Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks and Azure Analysis Services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives
• Define data integration and migration strategies, including data ingestion, data transformation and data synchronization processes
• Design and implement data models, data workflows and data pipelines to support business intelligence, data analytics and reporting needs
• Drive data governance and data quality initiatives to ensure the accuracy, consistency and integrity of data across multiple systems and platforms
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, data availability and scalability issues, proactively optimizing data infrastructure to meet evolving business requirements
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data architecture, cloud computing, and data management, evaluating and recommending new technologies and tools
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to data architecture standards and best practices
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to optimize resource utilization, implement backup and disaster recovery strategies and ensure high availability of data platforms
• Provide support in troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective measures

Data Architect Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• Proven experience working as a Data Architect, Data Engineer or similar role
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure services, particularly Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks and Azure Analysis Services
• Experience designing and implementing data architecture solutions for large-scale data infrastructures, including data lakes, data warehouses and data marts
• Proficient in writing SQL queries and data manipulation languages
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts, data governance and data quality principles
• Familiarity with data integration patterns and ETL / ELT processes
• Experience with data visualization and reporting tools, such as Power BI or similar
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into practical data architecture solutions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
