HMT Tank is looking for a Driver who will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of goods to predetermined customers on specific routes, reviewing orders prior to delivery, loading and unloading trucks as well as working in the shop / yard when not delivering.

The ideal candidate will provide a safe foundation for strong infrastructure and be competent in using potentially dangerous equipment following all safety precautions, have a steady hand and great attention to detail.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to read a 50' or 100' measuring tape.
• Always Maintains operating condition.
• Maintain and complete required federal / state driving logs, maintains expense accounts.
• Follows all company policies and procedures and obeys all safety and highway laws and regulations.

Qualifications & Education

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• A minimum of a High School diploma or GED is required.
• In lieu of High School diploma, a minimum of 1 year of experience truck driving and / or pulling trailer experience. A minimum of 1 year of steel shop experience is required.
• Minimum 2 Years of flatbed tie down experience.
• Experience operating an overhead crane and forklift is required.
• Loading and unloading the loads in required.
• A clear DOT driving record, and knowledge of the city.

Physical & Mental Requirements

This position requires an individual who is physically fit and able to life more than 50 lbs. able to work in In-climate weather i.

e. intense heat, humidity, and freezing temperatures, dirty conditions. Dependable transportation is required as well as the ability to work a flexible schedule if required (scheduled or unscheduled overtime, weekends, nights, and holidays).

Employment is contingent upon the ability to pass required Safety Council training examinations and all pre-employment screenings i.

e. physical, drug screen, and background.
