Job Description :
The Senior Finance Manager for the Consumer Business Unit will assist in the business delivery, forecasting and control of the dynamic and growing Consumer business.
This role will oversee all costs and expenses for the P&L and create transparency of performance insights and actions to all stakeholders;
collaborating with the field and customer teams; maintaining accountability for the delivery of the annual revenue, rate, and profit plan for Galderma (US) while also creating customer value.
Key Responsibilities :
- Directs revenue strategy design and implementation initiatives that maximize revenue within a given set of channels or large-scale customer group and managing and interpreting multi-scenario models to optimize revenue strategies.
- Supports COGS and OPEX management process with cross-functional teams. Assess return on investment for key initiatives.
- Leads the administration of frequent analysis on market initiatives and presents results, solutions, and recommendations to senior leadership by coordinating performance summaries and post-event ROI analytics.
- Supports all marketing promotional activities; provides key decision support through analytical modeling regarding business strategies and resource utilization;
serves as a liaison between Finance and the Consumer Marketing team relating to P&L considerations and financial impact of business decisions.
- Understands the impact of marketing and promotional activities on pricing and revenue; provides key decision support through analytical modeling regarding business strategies and resource utilization.
- Identifies pricing opportunities and works collaboratively with (Sales and functional) teams to implement and streamline processes across complex system transitions.
- Co-owns with Head of Sales, full pricing value chain practice for the market, spanning pack-price architecture and net price realization recommendations.
- Co-owns with Head of Sales and NAMs, trade promotion strategy, spending and overall trade investment productivity.
- Determines and documents business objectives by challenging assumptions and develops roadmap and execution plan.
- Motivates teams to achieve performance metrics and foster passion through consistent, effective communication and internal presentations and supporting all annual review development and processes to drive a peak performance culture.
- Directs, leads, and motivates a team to deliver results by communicating company goals, safety practices, and deadlines;
- engaging and developing teammates through effective performance management, coaching, and training; implementing continuous improvement methods while maintaining customer focus;
and embodying company purpose and values to inspire servant leadership.
Allocation of Duties :
- 40% - Owns all revenue activities for delivery of pricing, trade ROI, trade architecture and mix commitments.
- 30% - Key interface with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Data Analytics and S&OP to drive and co-pilot trade investment productivity & net pricing improvement agenda.
- 20% - Partners business unit cross functional leadership team to ensure P&L transparency and desired profit margin roadmap.
Skills and Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college / university required.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant leadership experience in finance, accounting, and / or planning within a corporate environment.
- Experience in business-to-business and business-to-consumer model.
- Strong history of forward-looking risk mitigation to deliver on business commitments consistently and sustainably.
- Successful experience with P&L management, strong business partnering, and an exceptional record of influencing people.
- Experience in financial planning and / or analysis in mid-sized and large corporate structures.
- Must demonstrate solid quantitative / analytical and end-user computing skills using MS Office, Oracle, PBCS and related products.
- Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to clearly communicate / present complex analysis with clear action-oriented tactics that drive business performance.
- Exceptional ability to translate financials into business strategy & tactics.
- Hands-on with mental agility to shift in the moment from analyst, controller, and financial strategist.
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Computer skills : Outlook, Microsoft Suite, Excel, PPT, Word, Data Warehouse, PowerBI, Oracle.
