Human Resources Manager, Romain Automotive Group

Purpose of Job

This position is an individual contributor role responsible for effectively supporting Human Resources initiatives across a broad range of HR functions, primarily in support of the auto dealerships of the Romain Automotive Group.

Job Duties

  • Recruitment : develop or implement recruiting strategies, manage the full recruitment process (job analysis, posting, sourcing, evaluation, interviews, offers, onboarding), participate in recruitment events and social media marketing, and maintain timely and accurate documentation and reporting.
  • Employee Relations : conduct internal investigations, partner with management to provide guidance and training, and manage support requests such as verifications of employment.
  • Training : deliver in-person and remote training, update training content, administer enrollment and records, and ensure required courses are completed.
  • Leave Support & Administration : support leave processes, facilitate workers' compensation reporting, and apply company policies consistently.
  • Compliance : interpret HR policies, maintain legal compliance, facilitate compliance initiatives and reporting (EEO-1, OSHA, etc.), manage annual policy review, and serve on the Policies & Procedures Change Implementation Team.
  • Human Resources Administration : manage timekeeping issues, develop policies, update intranet content, maintain employment records, respond to unemployment inquiries, generate reports, research best practices, coordinate HR software projects, and provide backup support for benefits administration.
  • General : maintain attendance, perform other duties as assigned, and travel for business needs.
  • Quality & Continuous Improvement : commit to quality, provide world-class customer service, participate in the QIP, and promote the company's mission, vision, values, and philosophy.

  • Education

  • Bachelor-level degree in Human Resources is minimally required.
  • SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, or SHRM-CP certification is preferred.
  • Experience

  • 5+ years of professional, full-time HR experience is minimally required.
  • Prior HR experience working with multiple business units in multiple locations is preferred.
  • Experience effectively dealing with a variety of issues associated with job applicants, employees, suppliers, and business contacts is required.

  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
