The Associate Project Manager for Sustainability will assist in the development and implementation of various sustainability initiatives across key focus areas such as product, packaging, energy, transportation, waste, GHG emissions, and education.

This role involves close and active collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. You will assist in the overall execution of Jazwares' sustainability initiatives, working directly with the Director of Sustainability to manage timelines and business needs.

The Sustainability Associate Project Manager will play a key role in helping the company achieve its sustainability targets, reduce environmental impact, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

What You Will Do :

  • Collaborate and assist in developing and implementing sustainability strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Liaise cross functionally to execute sustainability initiatives across departments (e.g., supply chain, operations, product development, packaging and design).
  • Identify areas for improvement within the focus areas to contribute to carbon footprint reduction.
  • Maintain and update project documentation and regularly communicate updates.
  • Assist in communication efforts to raise awareness of sustainability goals and initiatives across the organization.
  • Collaborate closely with the Asia team to advance the decarbonization of our supply chain.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation in sustainable practices, such as renewable energy, sustainable product and packaging, and circular economy initiatives.
  • Propose new sustainability projects or partnerships to further the company's sustainability goals.
  • Stay current with sustainability consumer trends, innovations, legislations and general information that can impact our projects.
  • Assist in the data verification process by performing regular data audits for accuracy, integrity, and consistency.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Director of Sustainability and SVP of Product Development

What We Look For :

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or other industry relevant field preferred or commensurate combination of experience and education
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with plastics and materials manufacturing
  • Experience in the consumer goods industry
  • PMP or equivalent project management certificate a plus
  • Basic knowledge of project management fundamentals
  • Strong interest and passion for sustainability
  • Strong verbal and written clear and persuasive communication skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to extract insights from ongoing projects and data.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop productive and professional relationships
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office & G-Suite
  • Able to work cross functionally, collaboratively, and reciprocally with multiple departments
  • Self-Motivated, and a self-starter
  • Able to multitask, organize, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Can easily adapt to shifting priorities, and can manage multiple priorities at one time
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to deal effectively with diverse individuals at all organizational levels in a professional manner

Jazwares is a multi-state employer, the salary range may not apply to other states.
