We are seeking a Construction Engineer to report to the Preconstruction Manager and be responsible for the preparation of designs and CAD drawings to be used for installations, fabrication, and project closeouts.
Hourly Pay Rate : $35 - $45
Location : Marietta, GA
Required :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 3+ years of design experience
- AUTOCAD proficiency.
- REVIT proficiency
- BIM coordination experience is a plus.
- 5 + years of experience with mechanical systems and construction installations.
- Fabrication experience a plus.
- Ability to work on multiple projects and deadlines.
- Checks own work and maintains a high level of detail.
- Good communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance, and prioritize work.
- Ability to lead a team and work as a team.
- Knowledge and understanding of codes, standards, and design guidelines.
Job Description :
- Work with project managers or project superintendents and foremen to develop designs and installation plans.
- Coordinate installation with other trades.
- Support workflow of foreman and project managers.
- Work from schematic sketches to produce plan drawings.
- Organize and file project drawings.
- Maintain company drawings and standards.
- Interact with clients in online coordination meetings and on-site with Project Managers.
- Represent the company from a coordination standpoint in all internal and external meetings.
- Assist the Preconstruction Manager with the coordination of projects.
- Designing HVAC & plumbing systems for various commercial buildings
- Development of system design calculations and selection of equipment for use in buildings
- Preparation of detailed design documents
- Specification writing / editing
- Code compliance research
- Coordinating work with other disciplines
- Site survey to determine and document existing conditions.
- Providing construction administration services
