Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Drive project management activities, including :
- Coordinate directly with the designated technical project officer and technology manager assigned for each project
- Organize all internal and external meetings with relation to each project.
- Develop project scheduling ( e.g. GANNT charts) detailing all related activities.
- Maintain up to date project budgets.
- Tracking deliverables, progress against milestones (projected vs. actuals)
- Actively adjust project milestones and timelines to ensure overall project success.
- Formalizing / planning review meetings for project Go / No-Go milestones.
- Responsible for accurate financial tracking, billing, and on-time invoicing.
- Communicate effectively and work fluidly within all Silfab’s departments : procurement, sales / marketing, operations, finance / accounting as well as external parties such as the DOE.
- Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements, assigning personnel to phases and elements, and reviewing bids from contractors.
- Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project elements.
- Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.
- Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan, scheduling changes, and recommending actions.
- Controls project costs by approving expenditures and administering contractor contracts.
- Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, recommending actions.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintains project database.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master of Science in Mechanical / Civil / Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite of Tools : experience with Smartsheet or other project management software.
- 3-5 Years of experience in project management or construction. with backgrounds in manufacturing or general contracting.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Solidwork / CAD experience.
- PMP License
- Project or initial warehouse setup and / or automation experience
