Full-Time Store Salesperson

Smokey Hills Outdoor Store – Park Rapids, MN

Smokey Hills Outdoor Store is your one-stop destination for outdoor adventure. From fishing to hunting, we specialize in guns, ammo, live bait, tackle, and a full line of sporting goods to fuel your passion for the outdoors. Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and sharing our love for the outdoors with every customer who walks through our doors.

Position Overview :

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Full-Time Store Salesperson to join our team. This role will involve assisting with day-to-day store operations, helping customers find the right gear, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure every customer feels welcomed and valued.
  • Assist customers in selecting firearms, ammunition, fishing tackle, live bait, and other sporting goods.
  • Operate the point-of-sale system, process sales transactions, and handle returns / exchanges.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and merchandise displays.
  • Restock inventory and ensure shelves are organized and presentable.
  • Stay informed on current products, promotions, and outdoor trends.
  • Follow all safety protocols and regulations, especially regarding firearms and ammunition sales.

Qualifications :

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Passion for the outdoors (fishing, hunting, camping, or similar).
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to pass a background check (required due to handling firearms).
  • Retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.

    • Schedule :

  • Full-time, 5 days per week.
  • Rotating schedule, including weekends.
  • Store hours : 8 : 00 AM – 6 : 00 PM, 7 days a week.
